PATENTS - GETTING YOUR PATENT GRANTED |
After filing your application with IP
Australia, there are still a few steps before your
Patent can be granted:
- Requesting Examination
with IP Australia
- Responding to any
objections, by amending the Patent and/or if
necessary arguing for the patentability of your
claims
- Attending to the relevant
government fees upon acceptance
- Receiving the granted
patent and Deed of Letters (a formal
acknowledgement of the grant)
- It is also necessary to pay annuity fees during the life of the patent, so as to maintain enforceable rights.
